the colors chosen to represent the soul work perfectly, the composition is balanced and interesting. the pose of the man is that of someone struggling, either to contain the soulbeast or set him free is unclear, but does convey emotion. the chains give the idea that he's either a slave to the beast or is trying to keep the beast from leaving his body, where as the action of the beast leaving his body suggests the beast can leave whenever he feels. I'm not sure which idea you're going for, but perhaps either remove the chains or show some tension on them, which could help push the idea that maybe it's the beast that wants to break free but the man is desperately trying to contain him.

as far as rendering, i would just push the darker values more on the shadowed parts of the body to help the limbs read more clearly because they kind of get lost where the man is gripping at his neck.

overall, i really love this concept and i can see a really interesting story to be told revolving around it. an artist I think you'd be interested in based off this idea is Zdzislaw Beksinski, who I just happened to discover today. you might be able to pull some inspiration from him for future pieces <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>

nice work!
